WORKSHOPS
Music is always an adventure! Playing together with like-minded players whether they are beginners or more experienced players, discovering new rhythms, mastering new riffs or diving into the past to perform pieces on historical instruments.
As we do in our performances, we offer a wide range of styles in our workshops: classical, pop, baroque, rock, world music and improvised music. The heart of our workshops are guitar and mandolin in a variety of settings, exposing our students to a world of music. All styles of guitar and mandolin are welcome: classical or steel-string guitar, German, Italian or American mandolin, or even electric mandolin! Below is a list of our upcoming workshops and courses:
Marijke and Michiel are certified music instructors who teach at several music schools and conservatories: Musikschule der Stadt Bottrop, Musikschule der Stadt Monheim am Rhein, Clara Schumann Musikschule Düsseldorf, Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and Marijke as a guest lecturer at the Artesis Conservatory in Antwerp.
They both teach acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin and bass. Their passion for teaching and performing have made them sought-after teachers for workshops throughout Europe and in the U.S.A. Marijke and Michiel also offer their own annual workshop, “The Summercourse at the Romantic Rhine”, under the patronage of the German Plucked String Federation (the Bund Deutscher Zupfmusiker or BDZ).
